Bug with Specific Image Textures?

Hy Guys,

I´ve been having some troubles with some image textures that I can´t explain.

In the most of cases I can open my image textures without any problems, but are some cases that the images don´t open in octane directly from softimage.

I have no spaces in file names, I only use phong, the files are in jpeg, the path of images are correctly specified, I don´t know why it happens.

In this project I have about a 300 objects and it happens with 4 of them.

And the funny is... I have other objects with the same maps that don´t cause me any problems.

So.... Some objects open the image files, other no, but all of these objects are in the same project.

Can someone help me with that, please?

It is repeatable? It is always same 4 objects?

Yeap!

Always with the same objects.

If i create other object and put the same image texture it will work.

In my specific case i´m creating a model database ready to be rendered in octane.

So in specific 04 models the textures don´t works.

In other models I have the same objects with the same textures and it works.

It´s very strange...

What is when you hide all objects but let the 4 objects visible?

I didn´t made in this way.

The models are exported to octane in independent scenes.

For example, In model_01 I have a freezer with cokes, beers and water.

I export to octane and it works fine.

The I open model_02 that is another type of freezer but has the same cokes, beers and waters, but in this case when I export to octane it didn´t worked.
All the objects are without image textures.

All of this in same project.

Today I made a test, I export to octane models 01 and 02 together and the results are the same. Model 01 Worked and Model 02 don´t.

I already tried to remade the model, rename image texture and nothing. :(

Have tested it now with 2 models in a scene and I can´t see any problem.
Hope i have understand it right...

Hey Face, sorry for take a long time to answer.

I´m having two specific cases that is causing so many troubles to me, I will try to explain better in two posts.

Case 01:

In this case, as the image is showing I have Two models in same project.
In one fo them all the textures works fine, in other with the same material the texture don´t load in octane. I´ve tried to create a new material and nothing.
In this project I have about 2000 models and this case is happening with 35 specific objects.

Case 02:

This is my biggest problem, I made this project to test the time of interior production and all of it works fine until now.

By now every model in this scene don´t open the textures in octane. I have two licenses from octane and I tested in two differents cpu and the errors are the same.

This is different of the case 1 because in that case the model never worked, but in this "case 2" it always worked fine in my two computers.

I´ve tried to build this project in a new scene, in new project and nothing. it simply doesn´t work anymore.

Can you help me with this please?

Maybe the workaround is the problem.
First, create your scene, then send it to Octane.
If you add some meshes in your scene, use the overwrite existing option.
It´s possible, that some materials are changed in Octane.
But I think, with the workaround from case 2, it should work.

The best begin to solve the problem would be, you reproduce the issue with a simple scene and send it to me, so that I can check it.

Hi Face,

I put a image below trying to show the problem more detailed to you.

01 - This is one of my models that I was using in my test project. Everything was working fine, but suddenly it begans to not work anymore.

02 - This object don´t read the textures anymore, only shaders. I´ve tried to use it in new projects, always overwriting the last export too. The funny and strange thing is: Don´t work anymore in my two local projects in 02 different machines.

03 - Here what happens if I export only the rack with wood texture. It works.

04 - Than I tried to exported only the receiver and don´t work.

05 - This is the couch I used in my test project, in project doesen´t work anymore too.

06 - Here what happens If I export only couch, in this way it works, fine.

The most of my other models, are working correctly. But, as I said to you this is my biggest problem because all of it was working, and no more no less stop to working.

I´m worried, I need to make this work before I can buy another 60 licenses from octane to deliver it to my clients.
