Agreed. I find that no matter what, the time limit isnt accurate and is mostly off by some 30 seconds due to the sample limit

Wouldn't that make sense? for previews I often render 124 Samples. But it should be easy to implement an infinite sample rate when, I change the seconds above 0?

Hello, not sure what you are asking!!!
Time limit is working as I supposed that works. What's the problem or question? Give more solid info to let me understand it!

When I set a "Time Limit" Octane renders for that time (eG 5 min). Thats fine. BUT: If "max samples" are low, for eG 124 samples, octane stops rendering at 124 samples. Does not render for 5 min

I have first set the samples verry high, so that octane renders for the "Time Limit" i was giving it.

Yes you have to do it for now, not hard I believe. Somethings may look easy from outside but not internally sometimes. Just noted your request...
