Hi,

I would like to start a thread of challenge for making wet asphalt with puddles. Using only procedural textures.

This kind (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUKKgiG ... el=iamLUPU) is pretty easy using texture images but it goes harder if need to texture the whole parking lot or something similar. That´s why I would be interested if can do it with procedurals.

If you want, try to make your own render and send also the Node tree.

1. I wonder how you make larger areas with texture files (with original Octane settings)? Would you like to give small indroduction?

2. I have tried to do whole thing with procedurals. I added my first drafts. I´m happy with large area but as you said, it´s probably impossible to make smaller details (close ups).

3. What are your first thought of what looks bad and should be improved in my pics?

I did some new testing. Pictures above.
I used image maps and on another version just procedurals.
Image map look good on close view but really doesn´t work from the far. I think I will stick to the procedural version.
