Try to temporarily disable antivirus and defender, while reinstalling the daemon, then restart the machine and report back, thanks.

Hi there. I actually already had this version installed, but just to be safe, I uninstalled, redownloaded and reinstalled, and I'm still getting the same error (attached).
I am running the latest stable version of Octane within Cinema 4D 2024.1.0. Any ideas on why I keep getting this Network Render error?
Thanks - Joel

I have deleted all previous installations, all Octane-related files, and disabled firewalls and Defender.bepeg4d wrote:Try to temporarily disable antivirus and defender, while reinstalling the daemon, then restart the machine and report back, thanks.

I reinstalled and restarted and I get the same behavior. As soon as the daemon launches it quits.
Hi Joel,
the daemon version is correct: Please go to c4d menu Extensions/Console, (Shift+F10), and share a complete screenshot of the panel, or copy paste the default console output in your answer, thanks.
@Anim8me2, please write to help at otoy dot com asking for Beppe, thanks.

Well it turns out it was user error....I had updated Octane on my main machine within the wrong version of C4D without realizing it. Now that I have the latest Octane build in C4D 2024, it's working flawlessly. Thanks for the help!
R6 working great here, Aoktar!
Thanks!

Hi "spread cutout hardness" does not do anything in analytic lights. It is supposed to feather the edges right?
R6 is great in general!

It would be great to have "Enable" input for composition texture layer to make it useable for programming switching and for RefShader node like this :
These nodes have very aggressive bright node color.

The same issue as before but this time with material tag update by Xpresso - strange that Octane generate proper OGL preview but doesn't update LiveViewer.
Strange that it doesn't work only for main material in Xpresso. It works fine for nodes inside material.
