All good on my side with your scene. Add one more AOVs to check it againduskstudio wrote:Having the exact same problem as the OP - any AOVs are showing black in the Picture Viewer but correct in the Live Viewer.
Using the latest builds (2022.1.2) in R20 and 2023
Simple scene created and linked which is giving the error:

Any ideas on how to fix this? Or is it a bug?
Thanks
Multipass layers completely black

The problem still happens even when I add more AOVs.
To be clear, it is exporting the AOVs correctly to the folder, but in the Picture Viewer when I select Layer > Single Pass, all AOVs are just showing black, so none of them can be previewed during the render process.
When I switch back to V 2021.1.6 R7 everything works correctly again...

I have the same problem. Worked fine with about 5 or 6 AOV´s then added some custom AOV´s. Now all passes are black in pictureviewer. Everything ok in octane live viewer
Update:
Found the problem and a solution:
I rendered a 3500 x 4500px image as a layered 32bit psd with about 20 channels. This file is pretty huge. In fileexplorer while saving I can see file growing. At about 5-6GB size, the file disappears
Dont know if this is a windows, c4d or octane bug. BTW: I cannot use otoy exr multilayer because i always get a strange error in PS when opening: "could not open - volume error"
At the end i saved as otoy exr in single files. That worked

It will consume a lot of RAM if you save a PSD with many layers at this resolution. What happens if you use smaller resolution for example? Also try to disable "Show passes".analog wrote:I have the same problem. Worked fine with about 5 or 6 AOV´s then added some custom AOV´s. Now all passes are black in pictureviewer.
