Hi Andy,

I'm running daily builds of 2.56 (2.56.0 r34135 this morning).

Cheers,
Lionel

is the development of this script quite dead, don't you think? cause it really lacks important features that the 2.49 version has, so should be so difficult to added in the 2.5x script but I only see people claim for features such group render, particle (mesh) rendering and the weeks pass without any update.

2.55 and 2.56 are still beta and the lastest one introduced API changes again. I can understand if Enricoerica prefers to wait being sure it's stable instead of making continuous changes that could become quickly obsolete...

I've just modified his script in order to make it run on 2.56, but I've no idea if it has any side effects or not, I'm not familiar with the internals of Blender and wouldn't have been able to make 1/10th of what Enricoerica already did :-)

Sam,

what are the missing features you mentioned? I tried to compare to the 2.49 script and I don't see a difference...

Thanks,
Yoyoz

So, does it work on Linux (the front page says it doesn't)?

With the script of 2.49 I can render mesh particles without problem, but not with 2.5x.

Isn't it an issue from Blender rather than from the script?
It seems I can't export particules to obj or Collada, etc...

I'm running it on Linux, but I don't know if it behaves the same as on Windows...

Ok, the problem was in the interface between the chair and the keyboard...

The attached short and (very) ugly mesh particles anim has been rendered exclusively from Blender using the script. Still lots of bugs, needs lots of tweaking, but it works.
