Dear Octane People,

i am working on a scene where i want to utilize the curvature node in conjunction with a noise map to drive the displacement in a composite shader.

I am aware that i need to use the Baking Texture when using texture displacement, so i went ahead and did that - however, it seems that the baking texture is not picking up the curvature/multiply setup that i have:

Is there a limitation that i am unaware of, where the output of a multiply or curvature node can not be baked or used for displacement? Or is my setup simply flawed?

I am using Octane 2021.1.5(R4) in C4D 2023.2.0

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!

Best

Hi,
geometry texture nodes, like Curvature or Dirt, are not working with Baking Texture.

Have you tried with Vertex Displacement, instead of Texture Displacement?

ciao,
Beppe
