Hi everyone,
I'm working on a scene where I want to recreate the light produced by a lighthouse. It doesn't have to be physically correct, I'm just looking for a result that looks good aesthetically. I tried to do it using a spot light, but it generates these very sharp edges that I don't like.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could make the light look better? I'm open to any suggestions.
How to create a light, like the one from a lighthouse

Hi,
do you have a Scattering Medium node in the Environment node?
If yes, try to use a small Area Light, with SpotLight Distribution node in the Distribution slot/pin, instead of the Volume SpotLight.

Beppe

Grazie Beppe! Can you help me out whit this also, I am doing a render and what I see on the preview is not what is coming out in the render.
I am using a transform node in my texture to make it fit well, but this is happening!
You are welcome
About the texture transform issue, difficult to say...did you cache the simulation?
If yes, please share the scene with texture via Private Message, thanks.
