Hi,

I am new to Octane and was trying to post but somehow it was not... now I can.

- After assign Layer ID 1 & 2 to 2 objects (cube, cylinder), how can I get two separate mask layers in single PSD file...?
"Save render passes as psd" shows but it does not work.

Thanks.

Have you set up the render AOV that you want to save in the render settings?

Sorry.. .I was out.

few things to understand...

1- Layer ID 1 does not work. it is to sphere... showing floor mask. OR layer id 1 doe snot work.
2- I need separate mask of sphere and cube... how it will be..?
3- when save psd... where is beauty image, cube and sphere render image...?

Anyone who can help / guide.

Thanks.

This page of the documentation has some useful information regarding Layer IDs: https://docs.otoy.com/cinema4d/RenderLayer.html

Thanks but its not showing object mask.
I dont need reflection or shadows or diffuse multipass.

In Simple... I need only separate mask of two objects.
Am I using correct multipass "Render layer mask" ?

this is one combine mask.. how can I do two separate masks...?

Thanks.

There are many ways to do this. AOVs, cryptomattes, etc. Please review the docs.

Sure, there will be multiple ways to get multipass but I am not asking for that.
Only I am asking for each object separate B&W mask layer which I need in each rneder for photoshop retoucher.

I am from Vray and Corona, both works same. Give object id and same id number give in multipass mask id and B&W mask layer comes in render.
But in Octane, I gave ID number to object, till here its fine id number applied but these object ids numbers where to define in multipass that I need this object mask...?

Thanks.

Layer ID 1 is reserved; it is used for everything in the scene as I recall. To isolate all objects from each other, give them unique IDs, starting with 2; then set up an Object ID AOV via the Info Kernel and you should be good to go.
