Hello, I made a simple X Particles trails animation in C4D.
I have been rendering the animation using the Octane plugin inside C4D.
I wanted to do a test in Octane Standalone.
Is that possible? Is there a video explaining how to do it?
I exported the scene using the "Export to Animated Package (Orbx)" in the Octane Live Viewer.
When the project opens I don't see the timeline.
My scene doesn't have any particles in frame 0 so I don'e know if the particles are visible, I don't know how to move forward the frames.
(Sorry, I just installed Octane last week)
Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions.
I really appreciate it!

You need to make sure that your ORBX file (the file you export from the plugin and open in Octane Standalone) has more than one keyframe with different values, and that Render Settings > Output is set to something other than Current Frame. Once these conditions are met, you will see a timeline in the bottom of the main 3D view in Standalone. I recommend ensuring that you have something happening in the first frame of your XP sim so that the particles are exported. And do not forget to apply the Octane Object tag to the Emitter.

Make sure that the Render Target node is selected in the Nodegraph Editor.

Hi,
maybe not, but, if you have loaded an ocio.config in c4doctane Settings/Color management tab, you need to do the same in Standalone, by going to menu File/Preferences/color management, or the render will be black.
ciao,
Beppe
