Before posting a bug report, please check the following:
1. That the issue has not already been disclosed
2. That the issue is specific to this plugin, and not Octane in general (Try reproducing it in Standalone)
Bugs related to the Octane Engine itself should be posted into the Standalone Support sub-forum.
All bug reports should include the information below, along with a detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it.
A. Operating System, including version (i.e. Win 7, OSX 10.11.2, Ubuntu 14.04, etc.)
B. Graphics Card(s) model (i.e. GTX 580 - 3GB, TITAN, etc.)
C. RAM Capacity (i.e. 6 GB)
D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)
F. OctaneRender plugin version (i.e. v2.25 - 2.21)
G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)
H. A detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it (Include Screenshots or video capture), as well as an example scene if applicable.
I. Copies of the Octane Log window and Console window outputs (full text attached as a file to your post is recommended).
Please note that reports of issues inside existing threads will be ignored/removed, and reports may be closed if the reporter does not respond to subsequent queries in the thread.

Scale lock is not an open option to plugins. Don't spend your time on this for now. Do your work without this option. It's just a helper, it will not change anything.
Octane For Cinema 4D developer / 3d generalist

Does that mean there's no way to get non-uniform scaling to work when downloading a material from the LocalDB/LiveDB?aoktar wrote:Scale lock is not an open option to plugins. Don't spend your time on this for now.
I usually make horizontal or vertical stripes by stretching a Checks node on one axis, and also a procedrual brushed metal effect by stretching a Noise just on one axis, and I'd like to put these on the LiveDB for others to use.
It doesn't matter if the lock itself is on or off, just that C4D respects different values in S.X, S.Y, and S.Z, which it currently does not seem to.

Dispersion value doesn't survive uploading to the LocalDB and then downloading. It always comes out as zero with the downloaded material.
See attached file.
C4D R26.015, Octane 2021.1.6-R4, Win10
Methodology:
Create new Universal Material
Albedo = 0/0/0, 0
Specular = 0/0/0, 0
Metallic = 0
Transmission = white
Transmission type = Specular
Dispersion = tested with 0.1, 0.05, 0.01, 0.005
Open LocalDB window, drop materials in, select materials, download
Dispersion is always zero on downloaded materials

The RGB Baking checkbox in the Texture Baking node resets to OFF when uploaded to the LocalDB and downloaded again.
See attached file.
C4D R26.015, Octane 2021.1.6-R4, Win10
Methodology:
Create new Universal Material
Add Marble node (also tested with OSL texture)
Add Octane Gradient, add colors in, connect Marble to Octane Gradient
Add Baking Texture node, connect Octane gradient to Baking Texture, Baking Texture to Albedo
Check "RGB baking" in Baking Texture node
Upload to LocalDB
Download from LocalDB
RGB baking is unchecked. Weirdly the thumbnail doesn't update, but it renders grayscale.
