Artefacts visible in overlapping volumes

Hiya -- got a project with some overlapping smoke sims to render (sims from Houdini, rendering in Cinema). The trouble is that the bounding boxes of the volumes are visible where they overlap, like this:

The lines are less visible with lower volume step lengths, this is at 0.05 but they're visible at 0.01 and that's the lowest it goes I think.
Using 2022.1-XB3-(R3), with CinemaR26. PathTracing, with max. overlap. volumes set to 5 (although I've tried up to 16)

The core devs are working on improvements for this issue, in the meantime, try to use the new Standard Volume medium node, instead of the classic Volume medium node.
