Autodesk FBX is the way to go Radiance, implenting FBX will open the doors for lots of archvizers and productvizers. Thats my opinion.

FBX, Autodesk targets this the format for all their major packages.

Definatly fbx...

It looks like a close tie between both formats...
It looks like 'autodesk vs sketchup' :)

I think we might have to do a poll.

Have not anything against skp import :lol: but that's not available here.

i assume sketchup does'nt export fbx right ?

It does, but I'm not sure about the Free version.
Googles developements are going straight to collada as the main export/import choice.

of the 2 you propose Sketchup free exports only collada.
Sketchup Pro exports obj, collada, fbx.

Its possible Solidworks exports collada 1.4 too - there is a beta plugin.
I am trying this out via Blender atm. :)

I Vote for Collada, its open. And its Better supportet in XSI,

(because export of uv's in xsi are not working fbx exporter.)
