C4D real EXR 32bit export problem

I'm having the same issue, that I can't render EXR out of the picture viewer. Tried the infos from above, but can't help it. I think, the main issue with my problem is also, that the picture viewer seems not to accept Octane Render, the picture viewer assumes, that I'm using Corona Render, although I'm picking Octane Renderer in the Render settings of C4D. Not to mention, that it crashes often, when using Octane Renderer. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thank you.
