select float() framebuffer and save as exr.

thank you for the response - you mean:aoktar wrote:select float() framebuffer and save as exr.
C4D -> Render Settings -> Octane Renderer -> Render Buffer Type? I have selected 'Float (tonemapped), still, the problem exists. Correct export I have only from Live Viewer [Octane] when I click 'File -> Save As EXR Image'
How should look correct workflow for 1 picture and many pictures [animation] for 32bit effect?
You made me have to test it again. I cannot see any differences between both of methods. See my test. How do you really open and compare? I'm using default settings of Octane render settings.

of course, you can't see any differences before you start to change exposure in 32bit exr files, so - with correct rendered 32bit file these highlights can be recovered by exposure, in 8bit mode this is impossible.aoktar wrote:You made me have to test it again. https://ibb.co/mq2xMn - in this example, I change exposure on both pictures, on the bottom is an effect
so please share your test .exr or test it with the file saved directly from Live Viewer [Octane] and compare with this from Picture Viewer after changing Exposure
I and you missed this, you can't compare float(tonemapped) vs. exr saved from LV. Float(tonemapped) buffer is clamping values, you should use Float butter.PiotrRymer wrote: of course, you can't see any differences before you start to change exposure in 32bit exr files, so - with correct rendered 32bit file these highlights can be recovered by exposure, in 8bit mode this is impossible.

What you mean by 'you should use Float butter'? Can you share test scene with correct setting to render and save full 32bit exr file? Can you help and tell what settings do you change from 'default start' to achieve this?aoktar wrote:I and you missed this, you can't compare float(tonemapped) vs. exr saved from LV. the problem still exists, I try this option before I start to write a post on this forum, this is the first time when I have a problem with the renderer, [I used Vray, Fstorm, MentalRay, Corona, Blender renderer, Maxwell, no problems with EXR]aoktar wrote:This one
do you have any idea how to save correctly from native Picture Viewer in Cinema file in 32bit exr?
I figured out, that when I save passes, in Octane Render Settings, this 32bit exr work good, but, there is another problem, color change, between C4D window and opened file in Photoshop. https://ibb.co/imnHMn
Sorry couldn't get what you mean correctly? It's correct for my opinion, see after effects test. If you use passes with "Linear" buffer, they will not be tonemapped. They will be seen like darker than what you see in LV. LV is always tonemapped for main buffer or passes.do you have any idea how to save correctly from native Picture Viewer in Cinema file in 32bit exr?
