I noticed that if I have camera more than 500 meters away from a large object you will get a sort of self shadowing artifact issue on the geometry.

The Ray Epsilon setting can help fix this but I've seen in other forums that this is not ideal and I should be scaling my scene accordingly. I do have my projects settings in Meters and Units are set to meters in my Prefs.

I still get the artifacting just the same, is there another setting I'm missing here?

Thanks!

Here's an image of what I get. The cube is 100M and the camera is about 700 meters away. Any thoughts at all on this?

Here's the scene file https://www.dropbox.com/s/d4qi7tmfbt4wd ... t.c4d?dl=0

Default Ray epsilon is small for size of bounding box on current scene. You need to increase it

Thanks! Yeah I know this will work. I was just making sure that there wasn't a better way with scene scaling. I'll take there's not.
