Sorry, I had not seen this problem before. But do you have it in any scene, even in a new one? Can you please attach an example scene with this issue? It seems something broken in your ROP node, an expression or script perhaps, or something like that.
Thanks,

Yes, it did have something broken with the expression in the ROP, once deleted, there is no error.
However, if I enable OCIO the IPR renders black, both in old and new Qt5 IPRs. Also in a new scene.
Should it work?
All I can do now is to switch to sRGB while working in IPR, and AcesCG when rendering out
i've just checked on a new scene. IPR is black once OCIO is enabled. No matter which ocio transform is enabled.juanjgon wrote:OCIO should work with the right OCIO configuration, so I'm not sure what could be the problem. If you want to share your OCIO config and an example scene I could look into it here.
Thanks,

the config is written in houdini.env :
OCIO = "C:\Users\xxx\Documents\aces_1.2\config.ocio"
just tried to download again, didnt help:

Octane has two sets of options to configure the OCIO settings. One set is available in the ROP node (used to configure the color space and the color space role while rendering to disk) and the other set of options are in the Render Target, where you need to configure the OCIO display and view used in the IPR window. In your scene, you need to configure the Render Target settings, which now are set as default, so they are not valid at all.
Hope it helps,
