Okay on it. Thanks manaoktar wrote:Hey,AaronWestwood wrote: But I just wondered if there's any update on this texture bug ive mentioned a few times now? On a project currently which is a large animation where the scattered textures are flickering like crazy as the camera is moving by them (trees). Opening in 2020 and its perfect there, so its just in 2021. The project I attached previously shows this bug so wondered if you've looked at this or identified the issue?
Much appreciated as always

it's not a texture bug. More like an issue on transmission and looks like a core issue. That should be reported to Otoy team.

Please report it on main Otoy forum. It will be important to me too.AaronWestwood wrote:

So it doesn't work, because it renders D65.aoktar wrote: Both are shared to all kernel types, so I haven't added it to overwrite part. It's like a global option in a scene. It's a design choice by me.
After I click "legacy/flat" and then "Copy to VideoPost" it works.
So it works, no need to any tricks.slepy8 wrote:So it doesn't work, because it renders D65.aoktar wrote: Both are shared to all kernel types, so I haven't added it to overwrite part. It's like a global option in a scene. It's a design choice by me.

Could somebody answer me? Beppe, Ahmet?divasoft wrote:Yes, of course I tried changing colors. Have you tried it yourself? It seems to me that no.aoktar wrote:it should do that but play with intensity of gradient colors.divasoft wrote:Hi Ahmet, i tryed to get smooth extinction gradient in vdb generator.
Octane well understand cinema noise and i see smooth noise gradients, but when i try to use cinema ramp octane get just half of container of generator without any gradient.
Octane does not understand cinema gradient shader in vdb generator texture slot? Is any chance to get smooth ramp volume?
As you can see, (please take a look at attached image - first column) at any value of the first color of the gradient, we will not get a smooth fading of the density.
And if i invert points of gradient, octane will interpret density another way (why?). When we reverse the colors of ramp, we expect the effect as if we rotated the volume box 180 degrees on the Y axis.
And even so, all the same, we will not get a smooth fading of the density from 100% to 0%.
Right-bottom image shows a smooth gradient of density, but this is not the correct result, because there should be 100% density in the left corner of the volume box.
Maybe you could fix this issue?

Is there anyway to make 'flat' default also? Its a look I much prefer so will exclusively be using it over D65, so can I lock this in permanently?slepy8 wrote:Great, but why did you put 8bit/16bit/32bit options instead od D65/Flat ?aoktar wrote:Small update(R3) is out for using!
It's confusing.

Ive been wanting to see a fix for this for ages also. Gradient gets clamped in the mid point and theres ZERO way around that no matter the gradient settings..divasoft wrote:
