Hello, i faced a bug. in 2021 when i turn on exclusion of e (environment) in octane object tag, it only works with viewport default camera, but when i switch to any camera object i see environment reflections on my object through it.

Thank you Ahmet!aoktar wrote:I'll add a conversion command for thathausgross wrote:Hi Ahmet!
I found an issue with color management and OCIO.
If the checkbox "Automatic (recommended)" is not checked the render turns out completely black. Since I don't know what "Automatic" does I prefer to setup the color space myself.
Another issue I have has to do with multilayer output.
When I open old scenes with 2021.01 there are no multipass channels active and i found no way to see what was set up. Is there a way to automatically convert old style mp layers to the new AOV system?
@jayroth2020:
Thanks for the clarification, but it doesn't completely answer my question.
I don't understand on which basis Octane chooses automatically. Therefore I'd like to set it up manually, which leads to an issue (black rendering) in my case.

Octane sets up the intermediate color spaces to guarantee properly for ACES and OCIO; these two intermediate color spaces MUST match. You can choose whatever ACES/OCIO color space you like (contained within the loaded config.ocio file) — as long as the two color spaces are the same, you should have no issue. Octane will use the ACES2065-1 color space as it is the archival format capable of the best color fidelity to Octane's spectral processing. None of the other ACES/OCIO formats will offer the same level of quality as ACES2065-1, which is why that format was chosen as the default for the Automatic option.

Denoiser device and denoising should be activated for work-around. Plugin try to detect and do this for you, but seems like doesn't in case. Use your magic for now.blackcat321 wrote:I have a problem. When Denoise AOV is selected, if Denoise beauty is not turned on, the rendering time will never stop.

Most likely, it's latest GUI element and it has focus because of this. Everyone has different habits and never asked for this since today. I'm doing many fixes/improvements without you see, this is not one of these!moebius wrote:when open the LV, why is always the Zoom Factor selected? I often type in a number by accident...

Can't find a demo version for R25 — it's not ready yet?
