Hello @juanjgon I am trying to use the Houdini plug-in, but it shows that I have an expired subscription, that is because it is trying to access the studio subscription but I have another annual enterprise subscription active in the same account, but it seems that not knows it exists. The plug-in I use is the enterprise version18.5.672

Thx.

Is your available (not expired) license Enterprise or Studio? If your license is a Studio one, you need to install the Studio plugin build.

@juanjgon My not expired license is Enterprise and I installed the Enterprise plugin, but it shows that I have the studio license expired.
The Enterprise plugin reads the studio license that I have expired, but it cannot read the Enterprise that is active.

Be aware that the support team is located in New Zealand, so probably they will take a look at it next Sunday (European or USA time)

You can also submit a request here https://help.otoy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new or mail them at [email protected] They are pretty quick at answering tickets but as Juanjgon said, the weekend is coming up so they are probably gonna answer it on the next first work day.

Hi Juanjo,

I'm noticing a pretty consistently with this version that it will fully crash Houdini if you try to add nodes while the IPR is open. I'm trying to light a scene and just had it crash when trying to add an Octane light while the IPR was rendering. Earlier I was in a Geo node trying to add a scatter node and it crashed as well. This may have something to do with the fact that I'm running this version in H 18.5.696, but thought I'd report it either way.

Edit:

I also just found another crash bug. If you try to right click in the IPR and choose Save Image (I chose PNG 8) it will immediate hard crash Houdini without any 'Fatal Error' dialog and Houdini won't have a chance to save a crash file. Just created a new file to retest and it's consistent.

I found this as I was looking to see if I could save out a PNG image directly from the IPR while using the OCIO View node on the RT. I'm working in ACES and was trying to figure out a cleaner solution to savng out test sketch renders rhather than having to go through Mplay or just taking a screen shot. I was curious whether or not the OCIO view display transform would be applied to the saved image. I doubt that this has been implemented, but it would be a great feature for future versions at least to have the option to apply the view transform in saving out an image directly from the IPR.

The IPR crash while adding lights is a bug in H18.5.696. You need to revert back to .672 or install one of the latest daily builds, that have this problem already fixed.

I'll take a look at your second issue ASAP.

Thanks,

Thanks! I’ll try a daily build and see if that does the trick, or will revert. I appreciate the quick reply!
