Generally all 32bit renders that come from OCIO looks like that. No matter what exactly OCIO profile is chosen.aoktar wrote:This is not directly related to plugin part. Also not sure it's a bug in Octane core. Even not sure it's a bug or not. Maybe about the profile you choose in OCIO. Best answer will come from @Karl.

Exporting to 32bit linear EXR while using OCIO like Filmic ( https://sobotka.github.io/filmic-blender ) generate 8 bit color depth file - not 32bit HDR. While exporting as ACES works fine.
Images are after 32bit exposure correction in external software.
ACES: OCIO:
From SSmolak's second shot in this post from the previous page, the OCIO is Rec 709. That may be the problem. Rec 709 is usually defined as an 8bit color space with values of 16-235. I use the OCIO setting in the picture and it matches the ACESCg setting as well. Notice my OCIO/ACES selection. Anyhow, this is what works for me.SSmolak wrote:From PV. But that problem is with EVERY OCIO profile other than standard ACES even Filmic one from https://sobotka.github.io/filmic-blender. They all give 8bit output just like Octane while using Camera Image corrections.BCres wrote:From SSmolak's second shot in this post from the previous page, the OCIO is Rec 709. Just a small suggestion: would it be possible to set EXR(Octane) as standard format in the render passes tab?
I always use this (cryptomatte!) but sometimes I forget to switch from EXR and then have to re-render.
