I wish to purchase the fully integrated plugin for Cinema 4D so I tried the demo before hand. After following the instructions, watching the video and reading other peoples conversations, I am still stuck with no drop down menue within Cinema 4D. Its like its never been installed. I have copied and pasted the folder in:

/Applications/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R17/Plugins

and deleted the others which do not relate to me. This did not work.

I then also went into Cinema 4D, went to Preferences; Opened the ''Open Preferences Folder'' and copied and pasted the c4DOctane folder into Plugins.

/Users/Library/Preferences/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R17_89538A46

This did not work either.

I have no idea if I am missing something ? Doing something wrong or is just something to do with my Cinema 4D . Would really appreciate it if someone could give an opinion or lend me a hand.

Thankyou

I NathanKhan94,
I think to have answered you via Support, you need a. CUDA capable GPU in order to use OctaneRender on your Mac. Please, go to Apple menu/Anout this Mac, and share a screenshot, thanks.

Hi Nathan,
unfortunately the issue here is the Intel Iris Graphics, while it is still necessary a CUDA capable Nvidia GPU to execute OctaneRender.
Hopefully the eGPU solution is going to be more easy to adopt, since Nvidia has just released the first drivers for High Sierra with eGPU support:
