Unfortunately, Octane often crashes if there are a large number of instances in the scene.
I have an insane amount of lamps in my restaurant scene, each of which has about 30 thousand polygons.
In total, these lights would weigh about a hundred million polygons, so I made them instances.
But with my attempts to add other objects through the instances, the LW crashes almost instantly when
starting the Octane render.
However, if I add these objects "physically", i.e. as pure geometry - Octane works well. But the scene gets really hard.
Maybe this problem is on the side of the LW?
Problems with instances

I'm not sure, to be honest. Can you please enable the Octane log file to check if there is some kind of CUDA error before the crash? If you can reproduce this problem in a simple scene I could take a look at it here.

Unfortunately, the option to save the log file was disabled.
But I have known this situation for a long time - when Octane works better with large arrays of pure geometry, and with instances, the role of which is to relieve the scene from being overloaded with a large number of polygons, it is worse, or rather much less stable.

Hi, have you tried to simplify your 30000 polygons "lights" ?
To be honest so much polygons for a single light seems overkill for me.

This is a very complex lamp, with a hell of a lot of gold droplets inside. I converted these droplets into polygonal points and in the Layout through the plug-in assigned to these points the render as spheres. So I reduced the number of polygons several times, but the light is still quite heavy.
