I cannot get the light pass ID's to work in the newest version - OctaneRender for Modo 2020.2.3.170 studio - is there a setting I need to enable for these to work?

What are you trying to do exactly? Hard to tell with so little info in your post.

Were you doing something in previous versions that has now stopped working?

If you are trying to render each light ID as a pass, see this:
https://docs.otoy.com/ModoH/ModoPluginM ... Passes.htm

Or are you talking about the "render passes > info passes > light pass ID" pass?
https://docs.otoy.com/ModoH/ModoPluginM ... Passes.htm

Both are working here.

sorry - I didn't follow up after I realized the version I was using was listed as test - I am doing the exact same thing as in the previous version, but maybe its technically the wrong way - I have an area light, change it's light pass ID to 2, then select the geo I don't want the light to affect and uncheck the light pass ID mask 2. it works exactly as I want in the "stable" version - I also noticed the light ID's menu in the kernel settings disappears after a min.

this image shows how I use light pass ID in the previous version and it works great -I just tried Modo15_2020_2_3_170_studio and it still does not work how the previous version did - am I doing something wrong? I find this an incredibly useful feature, I would love to have it working in the new version -

I just tried it using the Modo15 - OctaneRender for Modo 2020.2.3.171 build in the first post ( viewtopic.php?f=34&t=73539 ) and its working the same as your screenshot.
