Hi all. So Octane scatter for C4D looks very cool. I know I know, Houdini has powerful scatter tools. Is there any documentation on how to use it in Houdini?
There's a Scatter on Surface and Scatter on Volume that are a total mystery to me.

Cheers

In Houdini this feature works enabling the "Render as Octane Scatter Object" option in the Octane OBJ spare parameters. The scatter is configured from the scatter VOP nodes. Attached you have an example scene.

Ok I see. Thanks! I was looking for nodes to plug into and out from the Scatter on Surface. So it doesn't need anything plugged in it just needs to exist. Awesome! Same with the materials too huh? I thought you needed a material out connected after your materials. Good to know! Cheers!

I came years after this original post. In your example file you use actual geometry to scatter point on. Just found out that if you have only point octane scatter doesnt work in houdini. This makes no fing sense, since this is mostly use to scatter geo on just points....
