yes, the issue is in the general 2020.2 SDK, and has been already fixed by the core team, the fix will be part of the next SDK update.
In the meantime, please go back to 2020.2-RC& if you need to work with Toon materials:

Nice, that was fast. Thanks a lot.aoktar wrote: - New: Enable/disable update buttons for Geometry/Lights/Camera/Material.
- New: Global hold updates command added. Which is for disabling the update controls for all content

The Light manager looks nice. Would be great, if we could drag the enable function verically, so we dont have to click each object individually.
Has this been fixed for R2? I just installed R2 and I am still having the same issues with OGL Previews not updating on my objects.aoktar wrote:ok fixed for R2dynaraton wrote: I can Confirm with SSmolak. I don't understand why it doesn't work for me? As you can see the Cube in the viewport does not switch to the current material. I deleted old octane installs and have the current Nvidia Studio driver (461.40). Can anyone else confirm? I am running the Studio version of Octane.

This is not about drivers or gpu. Everyone should not have this issue. Please select log out flags and work until issue occurred. Then find c4doctanelog.txt and send me.

"Fix for SurfaceSpread object visibility" - what exactly this mean ? SurfaceSpread display modes are still not supported as I see.
