Encountering a scene that is cleaning up very nicely with PMC (same scene simply won't clean up fully within an acceptable time with PT). However my normal comp workflow of rendering an accompanying Cryptomatte pass doesn't seem possible now. Enabling the pass will crash the render as the first frame finishes. In the Live Viewer the pass is visible in the bottom left hand toggles but when clicked and viewed the pass is blank (grabs attached).
I'm trying to figure out if this is a) a solvable issue, b) a bug or c) simply an unsupported feature
If it isn't supported it would be super useful to have a clear list of features supported and not supported in each Kernel, I use Aoktar's (super handy) Manual constantly and can't find any reference to this not being supported. (As an example the Denoiser doesn't appear to be supported for PMC either but this isn't mentioned in either the page dealing with Denoiser or PMC).
My back-up will be to render out a quick(ish) low-sample PT render of the same scene to get the comp information I need from the Cryptomatte pass but I'd love not to have to render this twice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You are using an outdated version of plugin.
Please, upgrade to v2020.1.5-R4, and report back, thanks.

Thanks Beppe, updated from 2020.1-R5 to v2020.1.5-R4 and sadly no joy, Cryptomatte pass still empty in LV when using PMC kernel and crashes render when frames rendered to picture viewer, no issues at all with Path Tracing,
It's not the end of the world for this particular project but it would be really helpful to know definitively either way in the documentation as it isn't mentioned anywhere to be unsupported (same behaviour with Denoiser)

Yes, AI Denoiser is not supported for PMC kernel, and if you export your scene to Standalone, Cryptomatte passes are rendered black, if the Kernel is set to PMC, or InfoChannel.
This kind of issues are not related to plugin, but to the general SDK, I have forwarded your report to the core devs, thanks for pointing it out.
ciao Beppe

Cool, good to know it's not an error on my end anyway, appreciate you taking the time to confirm Beppe! It's a shame, PMC is RACING through these scenes (lot's of specular materials, tonne's of reflection, small bright lights) it's cleaning up impressively quickly where PT is literally 5 or 6 times slower and still producing a noisier result (but with all the comp info I need in the crypto pass
)
