Hello Paride,
I'd like to send a simulation to RNDR from an .ORBX file format and I would like to know how to correctly export Ocean mesh and foam/splashes.
Thank you in advance

Hello remka,
basically like this:

Are you experiencing any issues?
Anyway is highly recommended to testo your scene in Standalone before to send it to ORC or RNDR.

Well, the .ORBX doesn't load .AUR particles (foam and splashes) in the standalone, I guess it's because .AUR is a chaosgroup file format..
My diffuclty is that I can't save my particles in .VDB, simulation doesn't work and I don't know why (Phoenix FD issue for that part), so I'm stuck

Okay thank you Paride !
I'll check my foam scale, maybe there is a downsizing as I've increased my grid resolution..

Hello Paride,
I'm having trouble exporting my 1 million poly scene to .Orbx, it takes forever and I'm ending up with 3ds Max crashing and a 32 Go .abc file..with no .orbx generated obviously
I have a phoenix FD simulation with a 250k ocean mesh, 5 million foam particles (with a super low poly geosphere as octane particles) that is ruining the process !
I'm missing a point here, could you give me a hint please ?

Hello remka,
I guess it depends on 32GB Ram on board.
you can check through your windows Monitor System Resources.

Hello Paride,
you were right about the RAM usage, I have to split the export of my animation in several .ORBX file...
but I'm ending up with a 10 Go .ORBX file just for 25 frames ! (I have about 500 frames to render).
Phoenix fd is obviously responsible for that (a big .ABC file is generated) and I was wondering how you would export particles from 3ds max to standalone :
There is an option in Phoenix FD where you can export as mesh or particles, is there a trick here ?
