Could you show me the octane logs?

Open the OctaneGUI (from the toolbar dropdown menu next to the large octane start button)
Then in the OctaneGUI, go to the top and select "windows" and open the log window.

but after the 10th restart it's working as expected... any idea what could have caused this so I can avoid in the future?

The 970 series sometimes have issues with this.

There are the following options:
Lower parallel samples in the kernel node of the rendertarget.
Reduce the render resolution
Turn RTX off
Turn denoiser off

How did that black spot at the top appear? Did you reinstall the plugin and did it fix it

Do you have the same issue with 2020.1.4 standalone?
And could you try to re-install the plugin. (Note that you have to turn unreal off before reinstalling).

Hello, I did reinstall and that fixed it. Maybe it was because I installed it while it was running, I don't remember.
But after the reinstall it is working, THX!

Great job

When can Octane Plugin support the Hair Groom System in 4.25?
Desperately hope to see it.
