Hey, the title says exactly what it says. My viewport rendering speed is slower than actual rendering or High DPI paradox.
Let me explain.

Previously I used a 1080p monitor with a viewport resolution of about 720p, so my viewport was faster than rendering due to the lower resolution, which is quite logical.

Now I'm using a 4k monitor, with a viewport resolution of about 2-3k (the physical size of the window, which is comfortable for me), and with the same rendering resolution of 1080p - 2k as before, but now my preview window renders slower than the actual rendering, which is logical too, since the viewport res is much larger than the render resolution.

I don't know if Octane has a viewport scaling or virtual resolution settings like Cycles does with the "Pixel Size" (not Pixel Width!) option that scales the viewport.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? Are there any solutions, except of reducing the resolution to 2k in the Windows settings with fuzzy/blurry everything?

Thanks!

That's a perfectly normal behaviour. You can use the Subsampling option to solve it.
