Maybe i'm just blonde or something, but i just started using Octane, and my desired path is revit/max/octane...but Ive been having trouble getting materials into octane from that path. I was exporting from revit as an .obj but now I just downloaded the max exporter and i am to extract to "root" folder. (this is the blonde question) where is the root folder....c:/programfiles(x86)/autodesk/3dsmax2011 then where from here, is this the root folder? Any help would be great...

Is possible to support texture sequences or *.avi textures in this script?
Texture sequences can be used if you convert them pr frame. This is done under the OBJ exporter map/texture popup, pick a format and resolution and fly away.
This is not a feature related to the script but a standard feature in the obj exporter.
Note you need to be sure it actually can convert and load the container/codec..
Dont load image sequences like jpg to max standar material, it remaps to an ifl file which octane cant handle, so you need to convert.

Hi,
Is there a way to export the VRay camera path for performing the rendering? I get an error "pos" not defined when I try to do this. Is there a quick way to fix this? Or perhaps can I tie a regular camera to the VRay camera XForm?
Also for some reason, I have to manually execute the script (it does not appear in the customize menu).

You could constrant the orientation/position from a regular camera to the VRay camera, same with the interestgarmire wrote:Is there a way to export the VRay camera path for performing the rendering? No way yet...garmire wrote:Also, is there a way to render a walkthrough from 3ds without having to reload the OBJ file every time? My OBJ file is very large.
