How to disable default non existing environment?

And what is the difference between a global switch and creating a Texture Environment? They are both a click away and would do pretty much the same thing.

Every option will make it more complicated. It's the opposite of what I wish for this plugin: Keeping it as simple as can be.
Also, this way perfectly fits to the logic of standalone if you know to use it. There's no logic as you wish. Always have an environment with a texture.
I can't see anything complicated in a simple switch or choosing a default color in plugin preferences ;)
As far as Standalone is concerned there is no hidden environment in preferences. I can easily enable or disable it by disconnecting its node.

İn standalone and renderer no hidden environment. Just set black if you wish hidden
