Hi,
I have removed xParticles from the plugin folder, I have deactivated the network rendering, but I am still getting crashes when scene is send to PV. I can do a couple rendering before the crash occurs. Octane log file would always finish on "<markMaterials>" before the crash.
C4D crashing without warning after sending render to PV

OK, I will continue to investigate, but I would like you to officially file a bug report so that we can properly track it in our system.

As I mentioned previously, I believe that your data is far too complex for the mask shape. If you retopologize it should look about the same (can even look better) and will use your system resources far more effectively. I believe that you may just be maxing out on your RAM -- it is also possible that XP would do better as well if you were to do so.
There are several retopology tools that can do the trick. If you google the term, you will see several. I have personally used HBModeling Tools, which are a series of modeling scripts for Cinema that are very helpful in general terms. Outside of ZBrush, the best retopo tool that I have used is QuadRemesher, which works as a plugin for Cinema.

Wrong topic ?nomojosh wrote:Sorry, yes the finals will be linear EXR, but we were using PNG as poxies in this test because of the crashes.
What does the multithread save mean? Is it something that can be fixed or is it a CPU level problem (hardware not sottware)?
Ok I got this crash this morning, the scene is very not complex, it as few poly, small textures, xParticles is removed and when I hit render, octane is generating the material and then crash.

FH, when you make up a file for us to test, it's important that we have all of the assets referenced by the scene. In this case, we are missing textures which would be a factor. The way to collect all of your assets if File > Save Project with Assets. This will create a directory with copies of your scene file and your textures, etc. Zip that up and then give us the link.
