Well, as you can see with the SC, even though I can access and edit the kernel properties, instances are still nor rendred. The only geometries that get rendered are the complementary objects I added to my scene (corridor floor, corners, etc
The instances you can see in the wireframe view are not rendered at all. Now I didn't use Octane for a long time (I know, why?) and I might have forgotten something very basic.

But there is a proper plugin build for LightWave 2020.0! Why are you using the Octane plugin for LW2019 in LW2020?marchermitte wrote:Yeap, I just installed LW 2019 and Octane plugin works perfectly, I can access the kernel node properties without any trouble. So I think that the lw 2019 version of the plugin doesn't work completely with LW 2020.01.
Thanks,

I'm not sure what could be the problem. Can you send me this scene to take a look at it here?marchermitte wrote:Well, as you can see with the SC, even though I can access and edit the kernel properties, instances are still nor rendred. Oh there is a plugin for LW 2020? Ok, I didin't see It.
Ok, that fixed the kernel nod not opening It's properties problem.
I sent you the link to the scene via pm
Thank you

Hi,
I am trying to use Spectron Lights with Octane 2020.1.0.6 (and the same with Octane 2020.1.0.7) with LW2015.3
It doesn't matter what I do, even with a simple scene (one Octane light, ground plane and cube) the following errors can occur:
The minute I try to change the parameters of any node inside of the Spectron node Editor, whilst IPR is open, LW crashes.
Sometimes, if I have the node editor open and try and close IPR, LW crashes.
With the Spectron node editor open and nothing connected to the main node - launching IPR crashes LW.
I'm using NVidia drivers 441.41 Standard.
Hope this helps.

Hmm, are you sure that you are working with the LW2015 plugin? I was not aware of a problem like that. You can check the installed Octane for LW plugin version in the "About" window.
Attached you have a demo scene including spectron spotlights. Does it work in your system?
Thanks,
-Juanjo
