Hey guys,
I've been pulling my hair out all morning and I cannot for the life of me figure this out.
For some reason, octane gives me a weird pink tint to everything. If I create a new .c4d project and load up octane, all the lights are normal / grey / default, but for some reason it is pink in my current file. I do not want to copy all the objects in to a new .c4d file becasue whenever I do that, all the textures goes weird and re-positions wrong. The pink background tints everything in my scene, even if I have lights.
I have tried
- Octane settings -> Reset
- Removed "Prefs" folder from C4D preference location
- Deleted everything from my .c4d file (Still pink in octane)
- Added lights and deleted them
- Checked Environment color (Set to defauly - 90% white)
- Copied all objects to a new file (It works, but everything basically gets weird with textures - any workaround?) Is it possible to "import" a project into another project without either "open project" or copying objects over in to a new file?
Has anyone experienced this? Don't hesitate to let me know if I'm completely blind or stupid if the solution is right in front of me.
Octane background is tinted

Have you checked camera imager for the response parameter? It's not pink if you use default values.

It is set to sRGB. It's also set to sRGB if I create a new project, but in that one everything is grey and normal - not pink.
I do get some interesting results by changing the response, but I feel like it is sort of countering the problem, not fixing it.
Really weird. Any other tips?
Edit: What are the default values?

No need to tip, it should not be like that if you don't switch to a weird response value. Default is the values in new scene and new install of plugin.
Send a sample scene and let's compare results.

Thanks for helping out, aoktar!
I tried to attach the file below but it does not want to upload. I uploaded it to wetransfer: https://we.tl/t-GVdl5Qlw00
Not sure if you end up getting the same result, but thank you for checking out. This is made in C4D R21 with the latest Octane version.
Thank you

The forum will not accept C4D files directly, so you have to compress them, first. Zip is still the standard.bnine wrote:Thanks for helping out, aoktar!

... and you've got your White Point in Camera Imager set to light blue. Set it back to white, and you should be good to go.
