Hi all,
i'm exporting a movie saving out EXR multilayer with all Denoised passes.
In AE i use EXRtractor to get all passes and then i stack them. I find really strange the way it behaves.
Result is overbright so i used some exposure on top of everything, BUT below volumetric.
If i just stack everything in Screen mode (or any other i tried) and then expose final result, it will never look like original rendering.
What am i doing wrong ?

Beside this, i would love to understand how beauty reconstruction should be done in AE.
Here are my settings.

There is some useful information about the render passes in the Standalone manual. Not sure if it could help.

Hi Juanjo,
thanks, i saw this - it says all passes must just be added, which is what i did.
But there is no explanation about different exposure need for single passes.
I'll stitch with my hack for now :)

Thanks

I know this post is from March, but I’ve been gone a while and this caught my eye a few minutes ago. Shouldn’t you use linear dodge blending mode for stacking your EXR layers in After Effects?
