hi there,
i would really like to render the following scene using octane because of the dof effect which is so easiely achieved...
problem is however that i cant import the mesh into octane.... using latest octane and latest octane exporter pluging for c4d...
file comes from c4d r11.5 with vray light setup
i would be very pleased if anyone could have a look at the original file and the obj created... i tried to bring the obj in other apps, form z for example and it worked out!
well as the attach file of the forum wont work, here are 2 wikifortio links

thank you.
ps not much of a monday morning ...=)

could it be that my octane install is corrupt or im using false drivers?
but why would it crash after click on import mesh immediately?

That sounds like a driver problem. Which hardware and which driver are you using?tetrochuan wrote:could it be that my octane install is corrupt or im using false drivers?

nice model, runs smoothly, so the c4d scene is ok, your software is not, I have the 258.96 nvidia drivers, so check that and the cuda driverstetrochuan wrote:after reinstalling octane, cuda and display drivers still wont work?!
