Hi,

This is a dedicated topic for Vectron-to-Volume scripts and feedback.
vectronVolume.lua

This is a scripted graph for Octane standalone. Right click in the Nodegraph editor and use menu Other > Scripted graph, then "load script from file" and point it to the Lua file.

Let us know if you find issues, have ideas on how to improve the usability or anything else.

Thanks!

have to comment on this also-

This is a script, not an OSL, so how should this be working in Standalone.
I load up XB3 and then run the script - it does nothing.
I load a scene with a Vectron - it does nothing.

So unsure how to use this in Standalone as well.

Hi, it's a scripted graph. So you right click in the Nodegraph editor and use menu Other > Scripted graph, then "load script from file" and point it to the Lua file.

thanks

How can this be applied in practice?

OSL scripts are also not widely used.
For the average user, picking code is a difficult task.

It would make sense to make a generator converter Geometry-> Vectron (any geometry in Vectron) ?

We plan to make this a built in node type down the line to simplify integration across all DCC plug-ins.

will try to get it into 2020.2 this month but more likely the release right after that.
