Instant crash with Hair and fur with v2018.1.3 - 7.13.

A simple sphere ( radius 0.5m) Hair and fur , rendering option "geometry" (in 3dmax effects settings), a sunlight. Open octane render viewport, and crash....

Question : could it be possible to find a way to use Vectron to create hair ?

Octane 2020 is on the way, and nobody care we can't make fur in 2018 ?

Hi samsue,
Hair & Fur usually works, but doing several tests today, I'm experiencing some random crashes.
I am testing plugins versions v2019 - v2018 using 3dSMax 2020 - 2019 and 2018 release, then I will send a report to developers to figure out when these crashes occur.

Meanwhile, you could try to clear the texture cache (Octane Global preference > materials > clear cache)
and reset default preset (Octane Global preference > preset)
