So, I'm sad to report this but the Render Queue isn't stable for me at all which makes automating renders a pretty impossible task to do (without Deadline or something similar). The 2019.1.3 version suffered from the same issue.
Basically what happens is you set the render queue for a couple of renders and 4 out of 5 times it will crash when moving to the next render item in the queue. I can reproduce this on any given day as I'm trying to render out a bunch of shots for a personal project and each time I let it render with the queue I am eventually greeted by the c4d crash dialog. Sometimes, very very rarely, it renders 2-3 render items in the queue but like I said, 4 out of 5 times it will crash after the first one.

UPDATE:Ron wrote:Hi Ahmet,
I am referring to this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=85&t=73081&start=50#p372273
I did all that was advised:
1-Downgrade to Studio 431.84 with CLEAN install
2-Use a default layout
3-Delete prefs folder for testing and remove all other plugins for testing
I tried this with both V 2019.1.3 and 2019.1.4 with no luck. C4D always freezes - mostly after entering node editor.
This is kind of annoying
Since I am using Dropbox as plugins folder to sync between all my machines it turned out that the reason for freezing C4D is a write problem to the local dropbox folder.
Octane tries to write the Octanelog by default to the plugins directory which causes the freeze. I will change back to standard plugins folder until Ahmet changed the default path.
THANK YOU, AHMET, FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Of course there is everything in the RES directory. upacked again from the downloaded .. forgot to tell you that it shows that error dialog box for like 100 items, from materials to mapping and basically all stuff for the materials.
And the straingest thing is when i drag that same directory to another machine, 2019 works as expected .

It's a load error for resource files. I cannot know what causes or avoids it.poison wrote:Of course there is everything in the RES directory. upacked again from the downloaded .. forgot to tell you that it shows that error dialog box for like 100 items, from materials to mapping and basically all stuff for the materials.

FIXED !!!!
here is how.
1) Installed on the PC1 (the one that reports error) from the zip archive.
2) run Octane, and of course it does not work
3) closed C4D, copied OCTANE directory to PC2
4) run C4D evcerything is working
5) copy OCTANE folder from PC2 back to PC1
6) run C4D
7) IT WORKS !!!
Dont know why, how, but i can't care less at this point in time.
appreciate your time.

Testing it atm. Small detail: when i save from LV the demain pass as "png tonemapped" the gamma is wrong.
Thanks!!
