Hi All,

I'm rendering a fairly simple scene, but for some reason my gpu won't acelrate above 5% and rendering a full hd image cost about 6 minutes on average to render.
I've set my priority to high and attached the project file to this as well..
Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I have a fairly low-end set up, but even with that these times are very very low.
ON average the cpu also doens't go over 5% and the ram up to 50% when i look at the read of my task manager.

I have :
an i7 4790K cpu @4ghz
32 gb ram
Gigabyte Geforce 1070Windforce OC 8gb

os: windows X Pro

Any insight as to why this is so incredibly slow and doesn't seem to make full use of what I have is welcome!
Thanks!

I would love to, but whenever I try to upload it, it says that the c4d extension is not allowed!
Any other ideas of how to shoot it over are welcome!
Because at this rate, something that should be rather simple will takes ages to finish.

thanks! Is there any specific reason to use specular material on floor and having caustic_blur?

I was modelling a sign of an actual sign, which normally hangs on a wall in a club,
which hangs on perspex.
I wanted also to have some nice moody reflections to basically give it a bit more depth.

Caustic_blur, is that on the material or on in the render?
If I have it turned on in the render, then perhaps I did that by mistake.

So did you have the time to look at it and perhaps to see what I am doing wrong?
Still not getting octane to use my card somehow.

I cannot find any effective optimisation for this scene. It's rendering at 1:24 on my two 2080s, your 1070 is slow enough for this..

you mean it makes sense that it takes 6 minutes and somehow doesn't use my gfx card?
I don't get it.. Im sure that I must have missed something...
