Also, still trying to figure out the difference between 2018/2019 builds and the V4.x versions...

Studio vs Enterprise...
Prior to this ive been using the V4.04 version of the c4d plugin and that supported all 4 cards...
So am i understanding correctly that it's only the 2018 / 2019 versions of Octane that have a "Studio" card limit?

No, v4 Studio was the exception, with max 20 GPUs + Net render.
Normally Studio v3, v2018, and v2019 have a limit of max 2x GPUs without Net Render.

Yes correct, 2019.1 does not have RTX support, that will be added in the next major SDK release.khomatech wrote:Thanks guys. Just to be sure - this doesn't support RTX yet, right?

This is kind of the equivalent of renting a hotelroom where the newer rooms have no more airconditioning.bepeg4d wrote:No, v4 Studio was the exception, with max 20 GPUs + Net render.

I still don't understand this move and it's kind of insulting as Otoy has been taunting the RTX horn for "exponential render increases" and then taking away basic features in those very releases, yet charging the same amount of money.
I would have made much different descisions in investing in hardware over a year ago if I would have known the licensing model beforehand.
Any idea on when 2019.2 will have a C4D XB? Curious to test it, because I can't test it with the standalone without juggling licenses (seeing as it has no network render function and my node needs a Enterprise license to run standalone).
Aside from that - Aoktar you're doing a great job man! Plugin really improving a lot with every release both usability and stability wise.
@Gilles,
First thanks for appreciations. I have a sdk and wip build for 2019.2 but I don't feel it's ready to publish. Because it's very crash friendly, having many crashes on many operations. And needs a better sdk for public I believe.
