Hi,
I just tried v6 and I find it really fast with octane especially when loading meshes. ( versus v4 )
Anybody use Ornatrix with octane ? and with ornatrix 6 ? What do you think ?
Thanks.
ornatrix 6

Would like to hear what people think about ornatrix and octane also.
I am using hairfarm today, but i find it a pain to use with octane.
cheers

hi there
what i cannot get to understand is how to do the shading. since the ox hair map doesnt work with octane materials.
and, not sure, how to get to extract the uv mesh from the base mesh to follow or tint the hair from a map. the textures are proyected in a very basic way.
any heads up?
thanks

To Stir, apparentely works greate. but figuring out the shading and texturing.
HI Paride very kind of you. doesnt work for me (or not used to work with those nodes)
in linear gradient just uses the first color.
if i wanted to use a bitmap to tone different areas or what is commonly used get the texture from the supporting mesh is there any way?

SO!
the issue im having is with octane 2018.1.3 at least the technique Paride is describing works in octane 4 (latest)
so developers managed to destroy all Hair/fur in 2018. nice one! THANKS!
paride can you confirm this. also is there a way to apply bitmap shading to patch of ornatrix fur.? as you would with Max hair and fur modifier?
thanks to you and to de devs WTF!

Hi guys,
Can I apply bitmap texture for coloring Ornatrix hair?
For some reason my render show me only solid color Fur
Cheers

Hi paride!
thanks for the reply. ok checking that off solves the gradint in w coordinate.
is there any way to apply a bitmap to the hair?
