Hi, Thanks you !
As I don't have nuke I tested ProEXR_v2.0 and Exr-IO_1.04.00 for Photoshop. (I just have cs6)
But I don't have expected results.
Anybody succeed ?

in AE, the same file don't show cryptomatte layers.
Can't we have nuke bundled for free with octane ?

oooookey !
If it can help somebody here is why it didn't work :
- I didn't read carefully enough what Paride wrote : RENDER image.... I used octane render viewport but it don't work. You need to render to have "Filename.exr" AND "Filename_MULTIOct.exr" The last one is the good one.
- If you tried a long time ago criptomatte plugins, be carefull to remove then and replace with the last one !!! I totally forgot I have old versions in AE...
Now it Works great ! (in AE cs6)
Thanks Paride, Thanks Otoy !!!! BUT lots of octane crash when rendering passes.!! It seems that RC4 resolve this. Can't wait !

WoW !!!!
Thanks NeonZ !!! RC4 is there ! Cryptomatte work fine without a crash ( for now ) !!!!!
exr file go be very heavy, so best is to render less passes.
To separate each object use : CryptoObjectnode
To separate each material use : CryptoMaterialnodeName ( if you use CryptoMaterialNode your get for each object an unic material, you can't select all glass material of all separate windows for example )
so cool BUT there is a fringe betweens selection... not so cool.

Hi Paride,

Can I somehow specify a name of object for cryptomatte?
For example: I have table and vase with flowers on it. Table is a single mesh and flower is a group of objects.
I want to create single mask for table and single mask for entire group of flowers

Right now CryptomatteObjectNode will create separate masks for each single mesh in the scene
And CryptomatteObjectNodeName will create single mask for all objects in the scene

Can I somehow put objects in a group, name it properly and create mask only for this specific group?
For example in Vray - you can put specific name in to cryptomatte pass settings or make it respects hierarchy (Node name with hierarchy – Creates mattes by node names and takes the node hierarchy into account for linked or grouped objects.)

Cheers
