Hey all,

I am having a similar issue, getting this message :

Started logging on 04.08.19 14:29:16

OctaneRender 3.08.4 (3080400)

CUDA error 999 on device 0: unknown error
-> failed to link to cubin
device 0: failed to compile OSL code:
error : Undefined reference to 'cuGeo' in '('

error : Undefined reference to 'RED' in '('
error : Undefined reference to 'YELLOW' in '('
error : Undefined reference to 'cu_cam' in '('
error : Undefined reference to 'cuQueues' in '('
device 0: failed to compile module 0

However, i tried your advice and downloaded and installed the driver version, however i could not successfully complete the installation becuase it said " this driver is not compatible with your version of windows".

I am on Win7 64bit.

I am currently running Octane version 3 ( latest version ) and i have a GTX 1080 ( strix ROG ).

Any suggestions and/or help would be so deeply appreciated.

Thanks all,

Adam

Thankyou for your response Paride!

I only have a license for octane 3, i am not purchasing version 4 at this time as i cannot afford too!

I have used the Otoy system profiler courtesy of the Otoy tech support team in the hope this will uncover the problem!

Hi Lokken,
Octane V4 license upgrade is for free.
1 You will to sign out of Octane Standalone and any plug-in software, please follow the process as described in the Octane Manual 'Signing Out' details > https://docs.otoy.com/StandaloneH_STA/S ... Access.htm. When you sign out of your plug-in, both your Standalone and Plug-in licenses will be deactivated. (A Standalone license is always bound to a plug-in license, when a plug-in is launched).
2 you will have to upgrade your version 3 licenses to version 4. This upgrade is free and can be done via these 4 steps:
Go to https://home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/purchase/
Select "Upgrade" in the top menu.
Click on "UPGRADE NOW" next to "Upgrade existing licenses to OctaneRender 4".
Select the licenses you want to upgrade and confirm.
