I understand there will be many OSL options that don't work in Octane core...and many times where there will be unpredictable results because of the huge possibility space. But currently there are some sliders where moving it a little to the right or left will change the values by thousands or even millions , even where useful values might only be 1-10.
Also sometimes it seems the OSL values suddenly stop feeding into the displacement. For no reason the user can see. It will all appear good, then the displacement disappears.
