Hi BCres,
the screenshot is not complete, but it seems that you have two Standalone licenses active on the same machine (M18).
Please close c4d on that machine, then open Standalone, go to File/Activation status, and press the Sign-out button, and close Standalone.
You need to have all the licenses listed in green as Available in your Octanelive page, before starting again Master and server.
If not enough, please write to [email protected], thanks.
ciao Beppe
Cinema 4D version 2018.1.3-R5 (Latest stable) - 07.10.2019

Beppe,
I don't have C4d on that machine. That's not in the equation. It's only used as an Octane render slave. And I only have 2018.1.3 installed. I also have signed out of the standalone, but signed in throught the server daemon when it then requested it.
2018.1.2 worked fine on that machine with all the previous V4 versions still installed and in whatever state they were in. Yesterday, I simply uninstalled the previous V4 versions on the slave because I didn't use them.
Isn't there a way to release that machine from V4, so the slave daemon knows to use the proper license? It sounds like the software is trying to use the old second license (V4) instead of the first (2018.1.3) since it shows both active.
Thanks,
BC

Also, the screen shot of the slave daemon is complete. It simply keeps showing the same two or three lines every few seconds.
So what I've done is reinstalled all the versions on the slave, made sure they were signed out, and then uninstalled.
This problem is repeatable simply by running the Octane main program on the main workstation and the slave daemon on the second system. In preferences of the main program it states the slave is available. As soon as I check the box to utilize it, the slave daemon beings to throw up these errors.
The main system was built from scratch yesterday and has never had any other versions of Octane on it. And as you can see in the screen grab, the other system is only used as a render box and has very little installed on it.
Where the heck is the licensing problem coming from? 1- standalone and 1-render slave from my All access is all I'm asking.
I'll contact support in the meantime.

Hi, some great features in this release.
Unfortunately I'm getting a lot of freezes in Cinema with this latest version ( hadn't tried earlier versions of 2018) . Almost always when I'm adjusting materials.. node editor or just the normal material editor.
Need to force quit C4D, so don't get logs. Also nothing shows in the octane log if i have that open during the freeze.
I don't have this problem with V4 .. only with 2018.
Any thoughts?

Did you keep "synchronisation with geo updates=OFF" in settings?Raoul wrote:Hi, some great features in this release.

Hi Aoktar,
when I render a picture size greater than 5700x5700 pixels I have c4d that crash systematically just before denoising and saving the image, after the last sampling pass. If I uncheck "use denoised beauty pass", it doesn't change anything. Is this a known bug? Is there a solution? ...because for VR use (with spherical stereo camera over / under) I need a HD rendering of a size of 8192x8192. When my rendering is at this size, I can record the image during calculation but without however reaching the denoising pass which is very important for the quality that I aim. Note that I observed exactly the same crash failure at the end of November 2018, so with an older version of Octane + plugin c4d.
Looking forward your reply.

Crashes with denoiser are not related with plugins. Probably you don't have enough RAM and VRAM for this operation.Guy_frog wrote:Hi Aoktar,

So here, my PC config: 2x GPU devices: GTX1080ti each having 11Go DDRAM, CPU is i7-8700k , 32Go RAM. Isn't it enough for this operation?

IMHO, denoiser pass isn't in question if you consider that when I uncheck "use denoised beauty pass", problem is maintained.
Looking forward to reading you,
