Hi Octaners.
I have a beginner question. I have this mountain I made with a displacement. It look great without any texture on. Then I want to texture it with a rocky texture (from megascans), but the problem is, when I add the texture to the plane with the mountain, it’s way to big, so I have to scale it down quite a bit - when I do that, the tiling/repetition becomes really visible, and it looks fake. So my question is. How would you texture a mountain, without all the texture tiling/repetition.
I hope it makes sense. Otherwise please feel free to ask for more info.
Best regards
Nichlas

Hi Nichlas,
have a look at the uvw transform node:
https://docs.otoy.com/StandaloneH_STA/S ... 0transform
There is also a useful osl projection node, but I cannot find the link at the moment, sorry.
ciao Beppe

Hi Nicholas,
yes sure, have a look at c4d manual here:
http://www.aoktar.com/octane/OCTANE%20H ... sform.html
In c4doctane, you can also use a Projection node in Oslo projection mode, and search in the Presets for tiling.osl, or something similar.
