Hey Aoktar,
please let me know what you mean with "wrong tag"...
i have 2 weightmaps and 2 materials, every material get a weightmap inside opacity > vertex map
is that wrong?
Thanks!

Same Problem with X-Particles 4 's OpenVDB Mesher's Vertex Map, correct when render single image, but glitchy when animated.
It should be refresh problem if it's ok when you resend the next frame.LuZhouheng wrote:Same Problem with X-Particles 4 's OpenVDB Mesher's Vertex Map, correct when render single image, but glitchy when animated.

Having the same issue with glitchy results in the animated render of mix material using vertex map. 2 xp OVDB blending together gets glitchy in the final render. firtst frame in the live viewer looks as it should then gets glitchy. Anyone find a solution ?

Hi Aoktar
I'm reporting a similar issue with vertex maps.
Windows 10, Octane 4.04-R2
Mesh generators cannot translate the vertex maps for color/velocity, I've tried it with OVDB Mesher from X-Particles.
The data is all there when using the standard Renderer or other 3rd Party renderers, but the Vertex map glitches out with Octane.
I see this is an old issue, is there any workaround or hopefully a fix being developed?

I'll not put any answers in to this topic because nobody reacts properly about my requests. Please send me any sample scene with proper images and explanations about your issue.MediaMonsters wrote:Hi Aoktar

Here is a sample scene attached as well as two images showing the difference between the vertex map information on the vertex tag (seen on the viewport) and the actual way the information rendered out with Octane.
.C4D IS NOT A VALID ATTACHMENT - here is a link to the scene file:

Vertex Map comparison:
It works as expected on me. What's your version? I think V4.
It looks like V4 glitches it because of hacked ways for Vertexmaps. But 2018 is using the new vertex attributes feature and works flawlessly.
