V-ray dirt has an option called "Consider same object only". When this is activated, dirt will only be influenced by the current mesh/item. Pushing a different mesh/item next to it will not introduce additional dirt where they intersect.

It also has inclusion/exclusion lists, where you can specify which objects should be included or excluded from the dirt calculations.
The new 2019 rounded edges system has a mode for including/excluding other objects, and we are planning on bringing this and related improvements to the dirt system next. Trace sets for include/exclude groups are also on to-do list.

Hey guys, I am getting a crash all GPUs failed when trying to render a vectron object. Any OSL I tried or just the default sphere that pops up- instant crash on 7xGTX 1080Ti. Is this happening to anyone else?

Do you have any issues other than Vectron causing render failures?

I am not superstitious or anything, but I heard that there is going be a successor to Xbox One...

So like a sign that an "XB2" is coming soon.

Seems like you have an info pass enabled. To eliminate any differences to what I'm looking at, could you send me an orbx anyway? Thanks

Thank you, I turned off the info passes one by one until I found the problem. The motion vector pass is the one that causes the crash! I never use that one anyways so turned it off and im good to go :)

sometimes the displacement does not update correctly (transparent).

Didn't somebody from Otoy say XB2 was gonna drop last week ? could be mistaken...
